Biography

Vincent James McMahon was the visionary founder of the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF), which later became the global phenomenon known as WWE. He broke away from the NWA to establish the Northeast territory as a powerhouse, famously headlining Madison Square Garden and building stars like Bruno Sammartino. Known for his professional demeanor and traditional approach to the business, he transitioned the company to his son, Vincent K. McMahon, in the early 1980s. He was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996 as a member of the second-ever class.
