Biography
The Sheik was a legendary figure in professional wrestling known as a pioneer of the hardcore style. He achieved significant fame in the WWWF during the 1960s, most notably engaging in a violent series of matches against Bruno Sammartino at Madison Square Garden. Throughout his career, he maintained a mysterious persona from Syria and was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
